Nutan Nisha Desai, O.D.
Dr. Desai is a resident-trained optometrist and is licensed to practice in both Georgia and Florida. She has been practicing optometry since 2000 in the Atlanta area and specializes in the treatment and management of ocular disease. She earned her BS degree at the University of Florida and received her Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She completed her post-graduate training in ocular disease as a resident at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, GA.
Dr. Desai received extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the cornea and retina.
Dr. Desai is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. She is experienced with contact lens and specialty contact lens fitting (RGPs, multifocals/bifocals and keratoconus), pre- and post-operative LASIK and cataract surgeries, foreign body removals and family practice optometry.
She prides herself on developing a warm relationship with her patients and thoroughly evaluating their visual system to provide the best corrective lenses and/or diagnose abnormalities that may compromise their vision. Dr. Desai lives in Johns Creek with her husband, son and daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, watching movies and entertaining friends.
Loan Vo Unsworth, O.D.
Dr. Unsworth grew up in Marietta, GA and attended The University of Georgia under the Honors Program. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After college, she started working at a commercial optical store as a frame consultant and later became a Licensed Dispensing Optician. This job was what influenced her into pursuing a career in optometry. She earned her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Optometry. While at UABSO, Dr. Unsworth was an active member as well as Treasurer of the Beta Sigma Kappa academic honor society.
Dr. Unsworth has been practicing optometry in the Atlanta area since 2006 and is committed to providing the highest quality of eye care. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. She specializes in contact lens and primary eye care for adults and children. She is experienced with contact lens and specialty contact lens fittings such as rigid gas permeable lenses (RGPs), multifocals, and keratoconus. She is also trained in the co-management of pre- and post-operative LASIK and cataract surgeries.
Helping patients with their vision is Dr. Unsworth’s passion. She takes pride in providing thorough eye care evaluations to ensure her patients have long-lasting quality ocular health. She enjoys establishing long-term relationships with her patients and their family.
Outside of the office, Dr. Unsworth loves spending time with her husband and three children. She also likes relaxing at the beach, watching movies, and cooking.
Aaron Scott Unsworth, ABOC
Office Manager
Scott has over 20 years of experience in eye care and has worked in high-production optical labs as well as in optical retail. Scott also has an Applied Science Degree in Surgical Technology in which he has spent time in the operating room assisting doctors in various surgeries, some of which involve the eyes.
When he is not at the office, Scott loves spending time with his wife and three kids. He enjoys fishing, biking, and vacationing in St. Augustine, Florida.
