Nutan Nisha Desai, O.D.

Dr. Nutan Nisha Desai is passionate about helping children manage myopia (nearsightedness) and offers advanced, evidence-based treatments such as low-dose atropine eye drops, soft multifocal contact lenses, and orthokeratology (Ortho-K).

Known for her warm and friendly approach, she is committed to providing children with the best long-term visual outcomes in a comfortable, reassuring environment.

She also has extensive experience in fitting contact lenses—including rigid gas permeable lenses, multifocal, bifocals, and lenses for keratoconus—as well as in the diagnosis and management of dry eye disease. Dr. Desai provides comprehensive, patient-centered care with a focus on both vision correction and early disease detection. She offers full-scope optometric care, including co-management of LASIK and cataract surgeries.

A residency-trained optometrist licensed in both Georgia and Florida, Dr. Desai has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 2000. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and her Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. She completed her post-doctoral residency in ocular disease at Clayton Eye Center in Morrow, Georgia.

She is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. Dr. Desai treats her patients like family, taking the time to listen, educate, and tailor care for everyone. She is dedicated to building lasting relationships and delivering high-quality eye care to families throughout the Atlanta area.

Dr. Desai lives in Johns Creek with her husband and two children. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, entertaining friends, and spending quality time with her family.
